Popularity:

It generally indicates the quality of being widely admired or accepted or sought after. It increases with the increase of networks. The phenomenal growth of social networking helped the E-commerce Services industry to grow beyond its pre determined scope. In a broad sense it is an electronic marketing technique or concepts which has started gaining confidence and popularity among the users in the west, later on it deepened its roots across the globe. Records of last two decades are a living proof of its craze around the inhabitants of the networked world.

It is obvious that maintaining quality of service of products in a consistent manner is of outmost importance to maintain popularity. The needs and wants of the individuals changes with the time and technology, hence it is equally important to preserve the pros and overcome the cons of the existing products and services. Online ticket reservation, online banking, online shopping and online bidding are some of its examples.

Necessity:

It is a well known proverb “Necessity is the mother of all inventions”, everything is related on above stated line. The needs of the users are necessities but not the wants. Every organization should strive to convert the needs of the users into wants by delivering quality products and services, here quality means both functional, operational and its look and feel. The organization which adjusts themselves in the changing environment will succeed else will lose on oblivion. The conversion of physical organization to virtual organization can be done with the use of this technique of business.

The required software applications and the hosting agencies for this application are growing day after day. Thousand of e-business applications have already been hosted and the numbers are growing day by day. This helps to reduce the physical efforts and the time almost most of the tasks can be done within the click of the mouse button rather than appearing physically for each subsequent task.

E-business is an umbrella term which refers to following terms:

1. Business to business

2. Business to Client

3. Client to business and

4. Client to client.

On all the above types of business co-ordination between server and client is required hence it is known as client server architecture and the usage is also bidirectional. Buying and selling are the two important terms in the business. It involves active participants as buyers and sellers. The same trend is being followed by the modern digital organization but in a most enhanced way through the use of highly active technologies such as web conferencing, e-mail and chatting applications that are being embedded in the e-commerce application software.

Performance Measures:

Every organization is focused towards the performance measure of their e-business software. Number of testing teams is being deployed in both the production as well as the client environment. Different automation testing tools are being used to monitor and measure the performance such as peak load that application can handle, stress to check the failure point and its causes etc. The main aim for rigorous testing is to avoid the blunders in the released application. Maximum efforts are being given to the catch the bug and the performance loops in the development environment as soon as possible.

If performance issues are left with the released application then it will become very difficult to retain the users or customer of the application. Every organization that is developing the e-commerce application is giving above outmost care on the performance measure of the application in order to be a leader in the market and earn both reputation and profit as much as possible.
